"WELCOME TO PRAGUE" - welcome cocktail in the Benedictine Monastery in Břevnov, Prague

Term: Sunday, 10th September 2006
19.30 – 21.30 hours
price: Registered Participants and Accompanying Persons: free of charge

Venue: Benedictine Monastery in Břevnov, Prague

Admission to the Welcome Cocktail is only possible with the registration badge, which will be given to all registered participants upon their accreditation in the registration centre. The social event is designed as a friendly meeting in the charming atmosphere of the monastery. Cocktail refreshments will be served and a tour of the monastery will be organized during the evening. The number of places is limited by the capacity of the monastery premises.
The conference organizer will arrange transfer of the participants to the venue of the event and back. Buses will be ready in the car park in front of the hotel Pyramida Prague. Transfer schedule will be displayed on an information panel in the registration centre.

"GALA EVENING AND TRADITIONAL DINNER" - closing party in the style restaurant Koliba, Prague

Venue: style restaurant Koliba, Prague

Programme of the event:

• Traditional Czech and Slovak dishes in the style restaurant Koliba Prague.
• Moravian wines from the winegrowing production of Nový Šardorf.
• Performance of a folk dulcimer band to accompany the evening pastime.
• Dance performance of folk dancers in traditional Moravian costumes.

Admission to the Gala Evening & Traditional Dinner is only possible with the admission ticket (€ 38 per person). Those who have not booked a ticket within on-line registration will have an opportunity to buy the admission ticket in the registration centre of the conference by 13th September, 19.00 o’clock. The event is designed as a farewell party for the conference participants in the style atmosphere with traditional refreshments and accompanying folk programme. The number of places is limited by the capacity of the Restaurant Koliba Prague.

PRAGUE TOURS

JEWISH PRAGUE

A half-day tour of the most important Jewish monuments in Prague - the Jewish Museum, the Jewish Synagogues, the Jewish Cemetery� with a professional guide. You will enjoy diving into the atmosphere of this significant and impressive part of old Prague. The price of the tour includes transportation from the Conference Centre - Hotel Pyramida Prague, entrance fees and a professional guide-interpreter.

VLTAVA RIVER PANORAMA

A view of Prague from the deck of a river cruise boat. This romantic upstream cruise on the Vltava river will give you the pleasure of enjoying the magnificent view of the city�s most important architectural monuments of the past as well as of the present times. The tour includes refreshment on board and the guide services. A coach will provide transport from the Congress Centre - Hotel Pyramida Prague to the port. The price includes coach transportation, the cruise itself, the services of a guide-interpreter and refreshments.

VYŠEHRAD AND CATACOMBS

This tour will give you a chance to see the historical Vyšehrad area, as well as an opportunity to visit Church of St. Peter and Paul in the company of an expert guide. The tour also includes a trip to the underground catacombs housing the originals of several Baroque statues from Charles Bridge. From the hill of Vyšehrad, towering sharp above the valley of the Vltava river, you can admire a panoramic view of Prague Castle, the Petřín hill and the the Vltava river. A coach will provide transport from the Congress Centre - Hotel Pyramida Prague and back.

TOURS OUTSIDE OF PRAGUE

KARLOVY VARY- CZECH ROYAL SPA

This full-day tour of one of the most beautiful spas in Central Europe and its architecture is extremely interesting. This trip includes a walking tour around the spa colonnade as well as a visit to the world famous Moser Glass Factory, where you will have the opportunity to see the glass production or to buy the original Czech Crystal. As a part of the programme, lunch and refreshments will be served on the way back to Prague. Moreover, you will enjoy a visit to the production exhibition of the world-famous Pilsner Urquell beer on the way back in Pilsen. The price of the tour includes transportation, entrance-fees, the services of a guide-interpreter, as well as refreshments and lunch.
