Restaurant Diana, K. Vary



Restaurant and cafe Diana was built between years 1912 - 1914. It lies on the top called Friendship Height from where the visitors have a spectacular view of Karlovy Vary and its surroundings. The author of the project was architect Mr. Breinl.
The restaurant was conceived as a hunting lodge with a large social hall, fireplace, dance floor, outdoor terrace and possibility to barbecue in nature. The restaurant offers venison and fish specialties of Czech and international cuisine.
It is one of the most visited places in Karlovy Vary.

Tower Diana

It is a part of the restaurant complex Diana and was built in 1914. The author and the builder was architect František Fousek. Diana is registered in the CR list of cultural monuments since 1981.
The stone tower with gallery stands at a height of 547m above sea level, offering spectacular views of Karlovy Vary, tops of the Ore Mountains, Doupov Mountains and the Slavkov Forest.

Diana Cableway

Participants will be transferred by cableway to the Opening Ceremony & Reception and back. Cableway is the work of Ing. H. H. Peter from Zurich and was opened in 1912. It was constructed by Vienna Construction Company - Leo Arnoldi. There are departure station called "Stará Louka" directly at the Grandhotel Pupp, a way station called "Jelení skok" and exit station called "Diana"

Transportation from hotels Bažant, Alice and Gejzír to the departure station of the cableway Diana and back.

• Transportation to the Opening Ceremony & Reception: buses marked with 41st WMTS 2011 logo will depart from Alice Hotel at 18:00, from Bažant Hotel at 18:10 and from Gejzír Hotel at 18:15 to the departure station of the cableway Diana "Stará Louka" .
• Opening hours of Cableway Diana for participants of the Opening Ceremony & Reception are: 18:30 to 22:15.
• Transportation from the Opening Ceremony & Reception to the hotels Gejzír, Bažant and Alice: buses marked with 41st WMTS 2011 logo will depart from the departure station of the cableway Diana "Stará Louka". First bus will leave at 21:50, the last one at 22:40.

Admission to the Opening Ceremony & Reception

Each registered participant will receive the Ticket for the Opening Ceremony & Reception at the Registration Center.
Ticket is valid together with the registration badge of the 41st WMTS 2011.
Tickets will be checked by the organizer at the departure station of the Cableway Diana.
