GLOBAL CONFERENCE ON MYOSITIS 2022 PRAGUE

Abstract submission

Active participation in congress may be a form of oral or a poster presentation.

Abstract Submission Information

The abstract submission for the 4th Global Conference on Myositis in Prague, June 6th – 9th 2022 in Prague will be OPEN from November 1st 2021.

  • Participants who would like to present a poster or give an oral presentation must submit an abstract for consideration by the International Abstract Selection Committee. Please make sure that your abstract complies with the submission rules and guidelines
  • An abstract submission by itself is not considered a registration for the conference. Please remember to register in order to attend.
  • Your abstract will undergo an abstract selection process. You will be notified if your abstract has been selected for presentation at the GCOM2022.
     

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION:

Before you begin, please prepare the following information:

1. Title, authors, affiliation:
- Title (Lowercase, Bold, minimum 15, maximum 300 characters)
- Authors (first names, middle initials and last names) separated by a comma
- Affiliations (Institution, City, Country)

2. Abstract text is limited to 4200 characters including spaces.

3. The abstract should be divided into sections:
- Background
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgements

 4. Only one item (table, graph or a figure) can be sent attached using the active button below the registration window. The attachment should be in .doc, .docx, .jpeg or .tiff formats (NOT excel or ods/odt files) with a maximum size of 6MB.

5. Abstract topics: Please select your topic after consulting the list of topics.

6. All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.

7. Any abbreviations should be defined where first mentioned.

8. Please note that all abstracts accepted for presentation (oral/poster presentation) will be published in a supplement to the Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology and will be available online during the conference and printed in 2023.

9. Responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the abstract rests entirely with the authors. Accepted abstracts will be printed as submitted.

10. Abstracts which do not adhere to the specifications mentioned above will be returned.

1. Genes and environment
2. Pathogenesis, including mitochondrial biology
3. Antibodies and biomarkers
4. COVID-19 and myositis
5. Skin in myositis
6. Imaging in myositis
7. Drug induced myositis
8. Juvenile Myositis / Juvenile to adult transition
9. Toward personalized treatment
10. Inclusion body myositis
11. Repairing damage
12. Other

 

  • ONLINE Abstract Submission DEADLINE is February 22th 2022
  • The abstracts will be evaluated by the International Abstract Selection Committee. Abstract acceptance will be in one of the following categories: oral presentation, poster tour presentation, poster display only.
  • If the abstract is selected for oral presentation, the presenting author will be requested to present during the assigned session either personally or on-line.
  • All accepted posters presented in person will be displayed during the conference. Presenting author will be requested to be available during the poster presentations.
  • In addition, all accepted posters will need to be available on-line with a short commentary of maximum 3 minutes recorded in voice track to the poster.
  • Please apply via the respective field in the registration form (link below) to participate in the competition for the top 10 abstracts from young authors (age ≤ 35 years). 
     

Six best abstracts on Juvenile Myositis will be selected for oral presentation in the Workshop: Juvenile Myositis. Authors will be invited with covered expenses by GCOM.
